#AcrossApril Day 4: This graphic memoir about women with autism is perfect for #AutismAwareness. Fats‘ review: “In Camouflage, London-based clinical psychologist Dr. Sarah Bargiela inquires into autism in women, which is thought to be an under-represented condition. By creating this informative & visually arresting graphic nonfiction, Dr. Bargiela hopes to illuminate the experiences of women on the spectrum.” Full review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-kTm

With the great graphics &bite-sized chunks of info, Camouflage can almost be seen as a large pamphlet. It's quite short &yet it's packed full of data &firsthand accounts of autistic women. It‘s well-researched &introduces us to the differences between men &women w/autism (&Asperger's). I found it informative, eye-opening, &to the point. She also gives additional reading recommendations at the end which I always find helpful.
