The author has changed the way the story is told. We have 3rd person. I almost stopped listening when I thought Gibbs wasn‘t in the book. Gibbs, Jake, etc do make their appearance so never fear … another excellent story!

The author has doubled the characters & the story is evolving along with characters and the world!!

Post-apocalyptic extinction event - coronal mass ejection then a mysterious virus spreads world-wide leaving just pockets of survivors.

This is a story of a group of survivors and what they go through in this new harsh & unforgiving environment.

It took me a few chapters to get into but I‘m looking forward to book 2.

RC Bray did a great job narrating. The book is short and a good start. If you like The Walking Dead, similar.

Commune (Book 1) is the first installment in Joshua Gayou‘s post-apocalyptic trilogy. The audiobook is popular on Audible and highly rated. For the most part, it kept my attention. There‘s nothing extraordinary here, though maybe the story is just getting started. R.C. Bray, the narrator, is serviceable. Overall rating: 3.59 stars
