Tye uses her mother's recipes from her life as a minister's wife on Prince Edward Island to explore the intersection of biography and folklore (the discipline.) Tye is a folklorist so this is pretty dense in scholarship (more than I would have expected from the cover) but is an interesting addition to my #canadaalaska2018 reading project.
