I had to dig deep for the #guiltypleasure prompt of #titlesandtunes. Mainly because I‘ve decided not to feel guilty about what gives me pleasure 😊
buuuut the DM Davidson books are kind of embarrassing. Mostly because of their obnoxious covers 🫣 some of them are so bad that I actually made a paper sleeve to read them in public. The main attraction for me was the Colorado setting, that‘s where my US family was based. Plus they‘re light & fun! ⬇️
CoffeeAndABook ⬆️Ok, and then there‘s NKOTB 🥴I was such a dorky fan in the late eighties, and I knew even then how cringy it all was. In 1990 they came to tour in Germany and at 15 I was given the option to either see the U2 Love Comes To Town Tour with BB King or NKOTB. Well. I can‘t change history now🫣⬇️ 10mo
CoffeeAndABook ⬆️ but I did have CRAZY WILD FUN at the NKOTB gig, screaming my heart out, one of my friends fainted etc. I just wish I could have persuaded my parents to let me see both bands 🤷🏼♀️😂😭 10mo
LaraReads I love this story!!! I too was a dorky dork in the late 80s early 90s. Saw NKOTB in Oklahoma City with my whole fam. Had the dolls, posters all over my walls, all the merch. I look back on it so fondly though. It was such a happy time in my life. Innocent guilt! 🤣 I even went to several reunion tour dates in 2008 & 2009 with friend & it was so nostalgic & fun! Also, I‘ve never read any of this series, but sounds like a great “guilty” pleasure! 10mo
