Sequel to Daddy Issues. I was curious to see if this book could sell me on the relationship dynamic. It didn‘t. It turns out Robert is filthy rich & the power imbalance is even more noticeable. #kindleunlimited #romantsy

Reggie Lol, well, you gave it the due diligence. One time in my 20‘s this older guy came into the restaurant I was waiting at and asked me out in the most covert of ways. I thought he was in his 50‘s until later on he told me he had graduated from college in 62‘. He was a retired army engineer. Because of him I can say I dated a Vietnam Vet. He told me I shouldn‘t be out because it would hurt me.(never has) It would get under my skin. 6y
Reggie And then he would tell me about all the places in the world he‘d been and how he would take me to Mazatlan to show me where my people came from. I asked him, since he wasn‘t out, who would I be on these trips and he said,”You‘d be my grandson.” It was kinda over after that. 6y
Christy2318 @Reggie I can see how calling him “Grandpappy” would ruin things....pretty difficult to come back from that mental image. (edited) 6y

Mehso-so

Robert was married to Eliot‘s mom for a little while 10 years ago before accepting he was gay. Eliot wasn‘t around during the marriage. They meet again at weeklong family reunion. The story is set up to try to remove the ick factor & mom is a hot mess. The relationship didn‘t work for me. I was creeped by the age difference in this context & the relationship seemed to be solely based on the physical aspect. #romantsy #kindleunlimited
