The Intelligent Investor, Rev. Ed
The Intelligent Investor, Rev. Ed | Benjamin Graham
The greatest investment advisor of the twentieth century, Benjamin Graham taught and inspired people worldwide. Graham's philosophy of value investingwhich shields investors from substantial error and teaches them to develop long-term strategieshas made The Intelligent Investor the stock market bible ever since its original publication in 1949. Over the years, market developments have proven the wisdom of Grahams strategies. While preserving the integrity of Grahams original text, this revised edition includes updated commentary by noted financial journalist Jason Zweig, whose perspective incorporates the realities of todays market, draws parallels between Grahams examples and todays financial headlines, and gives readers a more thorough understanding of how to apply Grahams principles. Vital and indispensable, The Intelligent Investor is the most important book you will ever read on how to reach your financial goals.

I‘m 18 and I wanted to get into investing, so I picked up this book. It‘s a great book with a lot of practical, detailed advice on how to make money over the long run with investments. Even if you‘re not big on economics, it‘s great insight to have

FormalFitGuy My client gave me this book at 27 when I first wanted to decide to invest. It has been revised a few times since but is a great starting point 4y

Ready to delve into investing and heard this book is a good place to start. 600+ pages is a big daunting. Has anyone read it? Thoughts? Recommendations?

krustalloscryst I haven't read this but I hope you post quotes so I can learn from it :) I'm currently googling what compound interest is actually and I cant wrap my head around it. 6y

I belong to a “money” talk group for self employed people and this just came highly recommended. As I‘m starting my own thing this year, I need some knowledge. We have lots of non-saving years to make up for. I do also have a good financial planner too but I want some of my own knowledge too. Apparently Warren Buffet recommends this. Like him or not, the dude knows money!

Bostonmomx2 @EvieBee thanks. I won it in an auction for a Boston rescue that I follow. 6y

This book has been lauded by the authors of several other personal investing books I have read including John Bogle. Warren Buffett is also a huge fan. I'm a 100 pages in and it's good stuff. Not easy going for those without an interest but it is a book I already consider well worth the effort! We all need to know how to manage our money! (Off my soapbox now)
