pickA very solid second volume of this deceptively dark story of an orphanage that has a dangerous and deadly purpose. I look forward to continuing the series! 4.5⭐️

pick4 ⭐This book picks up right where the last one left off the kids count down the days until they plan to escape the monsters at their house. However there is a traitor in their midst and before any more planning can take place the trader must be found. This book is such a fun and exciting adventure. It‘s not as dark as volume one but it continues the story with just a fast paced and interesting read
pick3.5 ⭐Book two was not a letdown. The kids know that monsters are going to eat them if they don‘t escape the house now they just have to plan and figure out how to take everyone with them. But there is a traitor in their midst. This traitor reports back to mom and we don‘t know why. Plus mom has brought on a new assistant, that doesn‘t always listen to mom. This series is a lot of fun, it‘s a lot of heart, lots of adventure, and a tad bit horror.
So I have been collecting these all week from Interlibrary loan. You know what sucks? It‘s Friday, I have a long weekend, and I‘m missing book 2!!!
I can‘t even start since I already read book 1. Maybe ne t week.

I have spent this sunny Sunday indoors, rearranging every book in the house. For the first time in about two years the only books stacked on the floor are library books. Now kicking back with this YA dystopian horror manga.
Unlike my previous read, The Maze Runner, the kids in this series really are smart. Scarily clever and competent, and much younger than the Maze Runner teens.
