pickCleopatra Killoran grew up on the streets and in a desreputable club under the rule of Diggory, a vile and vicious man. Now Diggory is dead, and the club is in the hands of Cleopatra‘s brother who wants to see her wed a lord and, thus, bring respectability to the Killoran name.
The 1st in a new series by Christi Caldwell, this is a wonderful novel w/ deep characters and an intriguing plot. In other words, it‘s typical Christi Caldwell. (💞👍)
pickChristi does it again with another couple that will blow you away. I thought for sure they were going to tear each other to pieces a couple of times. But then they exploded in a very different way. It broke my heart that the club burned down, but it was another chapter that closed to open another. I loved that he began to trust and understand her more and that everyone was seeing it.
