Go Ask Ali
Go Ask Ali: Half-Baked Advice (and Free Lemonade) | Ali Wentworth
6 posts | 6 read | 9 to read
New York Times bestselling author Ali Wentworth offers her hilarious and unique advice on surviving the absurdity of modern life in her third collection of laugh-out-loud comic vignettes. Ali Wentworths first two books, Ali in Wonderland and Happily Ali After, were lauded by readers, critics, and fellow comedians alike. Entertainment Weekly included Happily Ali After on its "Must List" and hailed it as "hilarious. . . . Her glass isnt half fullits "empty and cracked," while Cosmopolitan praised it as "razor-sharp." Chelsea Handler called Ali in Wonderland "truly hilarious," and Kathy Griffin christened it, "Chicken Soup for the Vagina." Alec Baldwin has described Ali as "funny and warm and crazy all at once. Like Barbara Eden. But on something. Like crystal meth," and Jerry Seinfeld has raved, "Everything that comes out of Ali Wentworths mouth is funny!" At once endearing and hilarious, thoughtful and far-fetched, this third collection offers Ali at her wisest and wittiest as she delivers tips, pointers, and quips on a host of lifes conundrums and sticky situations, including the funny, sometimes embarrassing yet unforgettable situations that have shaped her inimitable world view as a wife, mother, actress, comedian, and all around bon vivant. Thoroughly entertaining, Go Ask Ali is packed with thoughts and musings from "the girlfriend you want to have a glass of wine with, the one who makes you laugh because she sees the funny and the absurd in everything" (Huffington Post).

Be kind. Don‘t gossip. Get out of your comfort zone once in a while. It‘s not any new advice you haven‘t heard before. It‘s quasi-entertaining, but it would be more so if she nixed the no gossip rule. 😁

Outrageously laugh-out-loud funny! I finish this book while spending two hours at our local Ford dealer while waiting for them to perform a car repair. I can't tell you how many times I started to laugh out loud and just barely managed to contain it to a crazy grin. I'm sure everyone else was wondering what the heck I was reading lol 😂 Do yourself a favor and pick up this quick gem of a read soon! Love Ali Wentworth's books!

Ali‘s hilarious and smart as a whip!!! You can‘t NOT smile or laugh while reading this, she‘s the real deal and so full of heart. She even laughs at herself and has no trouble finding the fun in everyday life. A feel good funny memoir - had a great time with it!!

Not really my kind of book but some of the chapters were interesting and had good advice. With some lemonade, this might make a nice beach read lol 🌻🍋

I have a problem with reading too many books at once but I can't help it 🙈 This is the book I've been reading before bed lately and I didn't like it at first but now I do! The short chapters are uplifting and amusing. Also featuring my book light from Target lol.
🌻 Anyone else enjoy reading multiple books at once?

MeganAnn I‘m forever reading too many books at once. I think I have four in progress right now... 🙈📚 6y
Mollyanna I always have multiple books going at one time. Usually at least four... 6y
AmyG I am always reading a few books simultaneously. 6y

ReadZenRites I do the same. Different books for different moods. 😊 6y
RamsFan1963 I try to keep it to one or two at a time, but sometimes it jumps up to 3 or 4 at once. Right now it's 3; 1 sci-fi novel, 1 non-fiction and 1 comic book omnibus.... 6y
azulaco I get antsy if I‘m only reading one book at a time. Too many books out there waiting to be read! 6y
Maewyn One regular book and one audio book. I can read the regular book in the break room at work without hunting down earphones and listen to the other while doing stuff. 6y
forevermint @MeganAnn glad I'm not the only one! I love it when I finish them all around the same time lol, makes me feel so accomplished 😂 6y
forevermint @Mollyanna nice! That actually seems to be the general consensus based on everyone's comments, I'm pretty surprised actually lol 6y
forevermint @AmyG Cool! Glad to know it's normal lol 6y
forevermint @ReadZenRites yess exactly! 6y
forevermint @RamsFan1963 it's definitely easier to read multiple books when they're different genres 👍 6y
forevermint @azulaco I definitely get that feeling! especially with all the new releases xD 6y
forevermint @Maewyn I like having an audiobook for doing chores around the house but I have a hard time finding audiobooks I like 😅 6y
