pickPete the Car: The First Thanksgiving by Kimberly and James Dean is about Pete the cat starting in a Thanksgiving play. He is nervous about remembering his lines, which he does. Also, Pete learns about the Pilgrims back then. He realizes that he is so thankful for what they did for all of us. In the end it asks “What are you thankful for?”

cheyennewilliams After doing my author study on Eric Litwin this semester I have fallen in love with all things Pete the Cat! I knew there was a Christmas edition but I wasn‘t aware there was a thanksgiving one too. I‘ll definitely have to add this to my future classroom library. 6y
