I liked how this book had cut outs through out it, it made it more fun to look at and read.
“First the chicken then the egg!”
First the Egg by Laura Vaccaro Seeger was written in 2007 and is a Caldecott Honor book. This book would be so fun for children because of the interactive cut outs in the pages. It is also a good resource to teach children about the succession of things in a fun and enjoyable way for them. This book was very simple, but at the same time very intriguing. A lot of thought had to have gone into the cut outs and layout.
This Caldecott Honor and Theodor Sues Geisel Honor book is a great informational text for young readers and ELS.
The text is simple and the illustrations are detailed and colorful. It shows the pattern of before this, there was this.
