Hare and Tortoise by Alison Murray is a great TL story that would be a nice lesson for the classroom. Of course, it tells how slow and steady can still win the race and you don‘t have to be the fastest. I would use the strategy of RA, so the students can all listen and discuss when the story is done.

Estradan The resource you provided is great for 1st graders to learn about fables and learn about characters. The ESOL strategy you aligned it with fits perfectly with this resource because it‘ll give students to discuss what they thought the message of the story was. 5y

Hare and Tortoise is traditional literature adapted by Allison Murray. I like this particular adaptation because there are cool text features, like a map of the course! I would love to turn this into a RT script. UDL Strategy 5.3 would apply to this lesson because students could practice their parts, building fluency, and then perform! ESOL Strategy 38 would also fit nicely, because students could practice their short parts at home #ufclar3414sp18

It doesn‘t seem to be the Allison Murray adaptation but, I think it is a good example of how this could go in a real classroom. Plus they look like they are having so much fun! Especially Hare.
