Pickpick

The Boundary Waters area is one if my favorite places. Any and Dave Freeman spent a year living out in the wild to draw attention to the area and the efforts to prevent mining and protect the wilderness. They are made of stronger stuff than I am -- I am not a fan of winter, let alone living in a tent during it. Beautiful nature writing and gorgeous photography.

Tamra Honestly, for me I think I‘d be worse at dealing with the bugs in the summer & fall. 😠 6y

#TBRtemptation post 5! Recently released. This is an illustrated account of educators Amy and Dave as they spent a year in the wilderness of The Boundary Waters, a national treasure spanning 1,200 miles in northern Minnesota. It's a plea for activism to save that wilderness from encroaching business endeavors, including mining. You'll witness the flora, fauna, and landscape that is nature at its finest. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
