My cat's superpower is knowing the moment just before I'm going to get up from my seat or bed and she decides that's the perfect time to cuddle. I was planning to get up as soon as I finished the chapter I was reading, but she jumped on my lap just before I was done.

Yellowpigeon I'm convinced my cat had installed a tracker in my bladder. She only wants to cuddle if I need to pee. 6y

Pickpick

Excellent collection of essays selected by Hope Jahren, not only about the science but about the lives and events behind the scientists. Of particular importance are two essays about the sexual harassment that women suffer in the sciences (apparently it is hard to conduct one‘s self in an appropriate professional manner ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, which is completely not hard at all, ugh why are men. Don‘t bother @ing me). Highly recommend.

Excellent choice to include this BuzzFeed article about sexual harassment in the sciences. I have always been lucky in that my advisors and bosses have been largely women and a few men who clearly learned social skills. Because it isn‘t hard to conduct yourself appropriately yet some people act like it‘s SO HARD to learn not to message your female graduate students late at night.
