Beginner's Guide to a Head-On Collision
Beginner's Guide to a Head-On Collision | Sebastian Matthews
2 posts
In this memoir-in-poems, Sebastian Matthews offers a glimpse into his painful yet transcendental journey of healing a broken body, mending a shattered soul, and the utter zeal of making a layup when you thought that would never again be possible. With honesty and wit, this poetic memoir demonstrates how, chipped piece after chipped piece, Matthews and his family put together their fractured lives after nearly losing them in a head-on collision.

Have you ever picked up a book based almost entirely on the author's charisma? This is one of those. I'm not a poetry reader but after chatting with Sebastian at Bibliofeast and enjoying the conversation at our table, I decided to give it a shot. Will be interesting to see if I can see his personable self shine through.

#NCLittens, there's a cool book event coming up next month including the tagged book, the pictured books, and Caitlin Hamilton Summie's To Lay to Rest Our Ghosts. It's a moveable feast with authors. Anyone want to go? I've already got my ticket. Info at http://WNBA-charlotte.org/bibliofeast-2017-is-monday-october-16-save-the-date.

alisiakae I heard about this a bit ago, but it's on my wedding anniversary, and I already have other plans. The Char-Meck Library Foundation also has an upcoming annual author event, their Verse & Vino fundraising dinner. 7y
BookNAround @4thhouseontheleft I went to Verse and Vino once the first year they did it but I've gone to Bibliofeast every year of the 8 years it's been going on. I love how intimate and casual Bibliofeast is and how you get to sit and chat personally with the authors. 😊 7y
