Behind on posting! Finished this just before Christmas.

I found some parts of this book very entertaining, but mostly it was just okay. The main characters never felt fully fleshed out even though they did have a little bit of development. Cute for a holiday read (think slightly steamier Hallmark movie), but not a series I‘ll continue with in the future.

The idea behind this story is great. The only thing that makes it so-so are the h/h. They acted like children not adults. I don‘t know if the author was going for innocent southern belle but it didn‘t work, she just seemed immature and unrealistic. Their HEA was rushed and kind of meh. I was excited for this one but it fell flat for me. #romantsy #readwomen #everafterbox

I probably owe this book an apology. Between medical issues and a slump, it‘s taken me 2 weeks to get through it. 😔 That said, it‘s well-written and has that warm holiday feel to it (courtesy of Charleston, SC). But I had some issues with it. I felt the H/h were cardboard-ey and a bit juvenile considering their ages (32/29). And maybe I just prefer old-school where holiday romance is concerned. Not a dud, just not for me. 3.5 ⭐️ #romantsy

I really liked the relationship that developed between the protagonists. I'm looking forward to the next books.
