Town Mouse, Country Mouse written by Jan Brett is a super cute MF book. It is about a couple of mice who trade lives. One goes to the Town and the other in the Country. They think the grass is greener on the other side, but as they go through many obstacles adapting to their new home life, they soon realize they liked their old home better and the grass wasn't so greener. One activity I found is that the students can role play the story.
emilybanne They can make town mouse masks and country mouse masks. They can get in groups and retell the story through dramatic play. https://www.twinkl.com/resource/t-t-5333-the-town-mouse-and-the-country-mouse-ro... 6y
emilybanne A great ESOL strategy is number 13 which is use preview and review activities. The students will be reviewing the book by acting out what happened in the story and they will be exposed to it in a different way which can help further the comprehension of it. A UDL guideline that works for this is 1.1 which is offering ways of customizing the display of information. 6y
emilybanne Since the students will be retelling the story through dramatic play, they will be exposed to it in another way which helps them understand the storyline better. #UCFLAE3414SuB18 6y

emilybanne This book would be great for S. You can sit on the carpet with the kids and tell this great story to them. At the end you can discuss the important message. 6y
DrSpalding Check your genre on this one and yes this would also be a lovely storytelling. 6y
