Numbers 2 and 17 on my #Bookspin list for March - Simple Matters by Erin Boyle and The First Pillar by Roy Huff. Both qualify for #COYER
I‘ve been reading Erin‘s blog for a couple years and finally purchased her book. Her writing about living with less is so well formed. She knows how to connect with her reader on a practical level while also allowing her romanticism to run free over the page. I‘m continually inspired by her efforts to live consciously and beautifully.
It‘s been a year since I read this last and I‘m moving again! Still going to be in the lovely Missoula, Montana, just moving in with my boyfriend. It‘s a new experience to be blending things and home choices but it‘s exciting. While he sleeps in, I‘m on our couch with a cup of coffee and this beauty.
I really enjoyed this book. The combination of personal stories, photographs and fresh ideas for living a simple life made sense to me. They drew me in and helped me look at my home in a different light. I feel inspired to try to live more simply myself. Learning that the author has a blog I can visit is icing on the cake. 💗
I love the cups that Erin Boyle recommends in this book! I had never heard of them before, and I think they're perfectly and classically beautiful. I was actually looking to purchase some glasses to replace the plastic tumblers we've used since my sons were born. Yay for author recommendations! 😂
The introduction was interesting. It grabbed my attention, which is more than I can say for a lot of books about living simply. We'll see if the rest of the book can keep up! :)
I went in for one book and came out with a serious #bookhaul ! #libraryhaul #stackofbooks 😂
Sophie and I love this book. She's got too many cat toys and my jewelry collection alone can fill a small treasure chest - so we're always looking for inspiration to live a more minimalist lifestyle. Contained within these pages are very chic decor photos and practical, yet elegant advice and tips. #lifestyle #simplicity #minimalism #kitten
I've had this for a fair bit now and have read through it multiple times. It's back on my nightstand now as I plan a move into my own place in a new state (HI MONTANA!). Filled with reminders to buy consciously and carry only the things that you love, it's exactly what I need to build the home I want.
I've been on a real minimalism/deck uttering book kick this year and I'm excited to add this one to the list!
