Hunting Houses | Fanny Britt
8 posts | 4 read | 2 to read
Tessa is a thirty-seven-year-old real estate agent living in Montreal. She adores her husband and three young sons, but she's deeply unhappy and questioning the set of choices that have led to her present life. After a surprising run-in with Francis, her ex-boyfriend and first love, Tessa arranges to see him. During the three days before their meeting, she goes about her daily life -- there's swimming lessons, science projects, and dirty dishes. As the day of her meeting with Francis draws closer she has to decide if she is willing to disrupt her stable, loving family life for an uncertain future with him. With startling clarity and emotional force, Fanny Britt gives us a complex portrait of a woman and a marriage from the inside out.

#TarotTakeOver #4ofCups
This card for me is about being bore out of my mind by routine, therefor not appreciating what the stability of the 4 & routine offer. It‘s also wishing that past opportunities/decisions/events would of turned out differently.

Tessa in the tag book is going through that when her long standing union is being challenged by the encounter of a past lover. Leading her to reassess the past, present and futur.

Meaw_catlady I love the illustration on that card! She does look bored! 4y

I truly enjoyed that story. The author got me to be opinionated, judgemental, empathic, hopeful and proud towards the main character Tessa. She‘s about a decade younger than me, but I share quite a few references and a somewhat life crisis/opportunity of the mondaine with her. May our mature sound judgement save our young bruised hearts & broken minds❣️Looking forward to the #1LivreQCxMois virtual discussion. #Franco #SummerBookSpinBongo2020

I'm starting this for my #1LivreQCxMois book club. The resume overwhelms me a bit, it gives me a feeling of «a lot, of a lot, in the day to day» which I'm slowly getting away from in my own life. I'm leaning on the fact that It's been recommended quite often by local lit. voices. Let'S hope for the best ;)

If you read French and would like to join, it's a public online book club on FB and there are still a few open places. #JeLisBleu #Franco
