It's not scary but I would definitely say it's in the spirit of #scaretober. I love all the references in these books and, as you can guess, this one is filled with references to the great horror writer Edgar Allen Poe! 👻💀

Today was a good day for finishing books. Now on to the last of the series so I can get back to my main focus of scary/thrilling books, it's been kind of slow going. On that note, I FINISHED THE STAND!

I enjoyed this one. Probably more for 10-12 years old, but I don't think they would get the author references. I thought it was a creative and unusual plot but the he ending was predictable. I bought companion books to read next.
