Good night littens!! #litsypartyofone will start again tomorrow before work! Hope to finally finish this book tomorrow. It is so good! She was such a tough, strong woman! #sheismissed #andiamanolemissfan #respectthetalent

Susannah I grew up in Oxford and went to Ole Miss! 7y
Reecaspieces @Susannah I live an hour from Oxford. I graduated in 92. One of my children graduated in December, the other is still going strong as a sophomore over there. It is a beautiful place 7y
Susannah @Reecaspieces I graduated in '97. I moved in 2002, and I do miss it, though the town isn't quite the same as the one I grew up in. Autumn was my favorite season there, so in another few weeks I'll be wishing I was there to see it. 🍁❤️ 7y
Reecaspieces @Susannah maybe you can visit soon! 7y

Woke up to the sad news that Pat Summitt had passed away at 64. She was a tough, fascinating, compelling figure. Her life illuminates a corner of women's history I knew nothing about. I really love her book for those reasons, as well as her honesty and fortitude in the face of Alzheimer's. RIP.

Laura317 Pat was certainly a class act. We went to many games to cheer the Lady Vols on. The hearts of all Volunteers are broken. 😢 8y

Gezemice Oh no! I did not know. So sad. 8y
BookishFeminist 😢 I love Pat Summit & am heartbroken by this news. Rutgers is my alma mater & she and our women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer had such a great friendship and rivalry. 8y

Can't believe I didn't think of this one for Memoir Monday, but HBD to Pat Summit, born 1952! This is such a good book, guys - full of insight, history, and yes, perspective. (Now let's get a movie of this starring Reese Witherspoon.) Even if you don't like sports, this is worth reading.
