Sadly, Buffy and Spike don't have the same chemistry on page that they do on screen. This plot to was eh, but the end sets up a new arc I have high hopes for.

I've loved btvs since the very beginning, so I know I'm biased when it comes to this series. I've weathered the good, the bad, and the very very weird with the comic incarnation. I like to think this one falls under the good category, mainly because it's about the changing group dynamics and how the Scooby gang deals with the life they have made for themselves. I'm in this series to the (hopefully not bitter) end. 😄

BekahB I need to jump back into the comics. I ❤️ BTVS. I've proudly converted several of my friends into fans and it always felt like a win! I tried to read the BTVS comic book "seasons" but I couldn't get past the first couple of volumes. But I REALLY want to love it. I need to pick it back up. Maybe I just wasn't in the right book mood. I did love the first volume in the High School Years series that was recently released. 8y

readinginthedark I loved the BTVS TV series and was reading the comics at the very beginning, but it got kind of strange and I decided to take a break. Never started again; guess I should now! I miss the Scooby gang! 8y

Eyelit @readinginthedark I know what you mean by 'it got kind of strange' - the comics have gone to some weird places. I don't know if it's because they were just trying out stuff they could never do on tv or if they just couldn't think of anything else story-wise. I can't even tell you that it totally evens out at some point. It's kinda like a roller coaster, imho. 8y
