King Ludwig II ruled Bavaria for twenty-two years, commissioning extravagant castles throughout his homeland and exhibiting such bizarre behavior that he was eventually declared insane. According to legend, Ludwig had stockpiled a massive cache of gold and jewels that would finance the construction of the largest castle of all time. But in the years since the kings mysterious death, no one has found any evidence of such a trove. Until now. Jonathon Payne and David Jones are pulled into the mystery by a colleague, who asks them to investigate the legend. They agree, and quickly find themselves in a life-or-death struggle to uncover the truth about Ludwigs death, his mythical treasure, and who would be willing to kill for it.

I love the Payne and Jones books by Chris Kuzneski. Great storylines involving the historical dimension, great characters and plotting with humour throughout between Payne and Jones. The #Secret Crown is book 6 in the series.

I love books! 💕💕 The books that are horizontal are books that I have already read but 4 of them I read as ARC‘s and wanted the hardcover for collecting purposes. The books that are vertical are books that I received this month, with the white labeled books being ARC‘s. I have actually already read 3 of those books this month, so expect to see a review soon-ish. …. See the full post at www.thegenreminx.com #bookreviewer #TheGenreMinxBookReviews

Just love the writing of Chris Kuzneski, and I think he'd most probably fill the remit of #attractiveauthors
