A sequel to the memorable late-2000s YA thriller LITTLE BROTHER, 2013‘s HOMELAND remains just as prescient as its predecessor - but lacking in every other way. Doctorow‘s naive techno-Utopianism is full flag here, and while there is a lot of value in popular literature showing activism in a positive light and cops & corporations in an appropriately suspect one, this just doesn‘t work as a novel, right down to its completely flaccid ending.

silentrequiem @CouronneDhiver @irre I was totally expecting 10 or 15%. But 25% made it worth an order. I should probably be thankful I didn't get a 50% coupon given how many books I had in my cart and then deleted to get the total under $100... 6y

YA Audio Book two and improbablely brilliant. Read magnificently by Wil Wheaton with a great cameo appearance. In light of the modern goings on in Burning Man, with data breaches, and in politics, this is a timely book for all tin foil hat wearing, anonymously Anonymous loving, screw the establishment book lovers. Great book to feed the kids and have meaningful conversations about the world.
