Supernatural: The Usual Sacrifices
Supernatural: The Usual Sacrifices | Yvonne Navarro
4 posts | 5 read | 6 to read
Sam and Dean Winchester have spent their lives on the road, battling every kind of supernatural threat. Over the years, after dozens of bloody adventures, they have faced everything from the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother to vampires, ghosts, shapeshifters, angels and fallen gods. With the help of allies--both human and supernatural--they've discovered that every threat they vanquish opens a new door for evil to enter in. Visitors passing through Brownsdale, Kentucky are often never seen again. The locals claim that it's easy to fall victim to the vast local caves if explored unaided, but when two young girls go missing Sam and Dean set out to investigate. As the brothers start to suspect something far more sinister in the town, and possibly lurking in Mammoth Cave, they realise that someone is determined to protect the town secret--even if it means killing Sam and Dean himself. A brand-new Supernatural novel, set during season 10, that reveals a previously unseen adventure for the Winchester brothers, from the hit TV series!

1. My mom. Haven't seen her in over a year, and it's not looking likely I'll see her in the near future. She's 71, and lives alone several states away from me (though near other family members), so I worry.

2. My husband is off from work for the next 2 weeks and all my kids are here with us (oldest is 22 and doesn't live with us on a regular basis but has been here indefinitely since we all got covid last month).

Megabooks Hugs to you and your mom. 💜💜 My mom is 75, and I‘m glad to be near. 3y
Traci1 @Megabooks Thanks. I'm an only child, and she was a single mom, so growing up it was us against the world, you know? I'm sure it's really nice to be close. 3y
Reggie I hope that next year comes soon and hopefully things come into place so you can see her. My 81 grandmother and I have cooked Thanksgiving together for the past 3 years and we can‘t this year because of covid. It sucks. 3y
Traci1 @Reggie I'm so sorry. It does suck. ☹ 3y

🌟🌟🌟🌟
Definitely one of the better Supernatural tie-ins I've read. It wasn't quite as good as Fresh Meat, but it was still really good.

Just started this one last night. It takes place around the middle of season 10, though the cover photo looks more like season 3 Sam and Dean.

Jadams89 Yeah, Sam‘s hair is way too short to be season 10 6y
Jennick2004 Ooooohhhhhg 6y
tonyahoswalt You're right, they look pretty young 6y

Quirkybookworm There're books on them?? 6y
Traci1 @Quirkybookworm yep. This one is the 15th and maybe the final one in the series. They're all written by different authors, and some are better than others. This one is pretty good so far. My favorite of the ones I've read was called Fresh Meat (Bobby was in that one😊). 6y
Quirkybookworm I just adore Supernatural shows. I hardly watch TV but that show had me hooked from day 1. I love the brotherhood, sarcasms, the rawness, and the music. They knew just the right music!, 6y
tracey38 Love the show. Haven't heard of the series! 6y

I honestly didn't know much about spelunking before reading this. Awesome read! Fun to follow Sam and Dean as they look into mysterious disappearances surrounding a small town famous for its cave tourism!
