Why are there camping chairs in this photograph of a living room?

Before our renovation last year, when we first moved into our house, this was our furniture! My boyfriend in one chair, me in the other. It was pretty amazing.

In this amazing children‘s book, Alexander DOESN‘T care if his family is moving thousands of miles away: he‘s staying.

He is definitely NOT leaving his home and his friends.

But will he change his mind?

Never. Not ever. No way. Uh uh. N.O.

I was expecting to see colors and bright images but the book was good without them. I like how he's going to miss everything but gives in at the end.

Contemporary Realistic Fiction and was written in 1995. This book is about Alexander and his need to stay at his old house and not leave to go a thousand miles away. He talks about everything that is going miss like his best friend and his neighbors. At the end, he finally gives in but says he'll never move again.

A funny & poignant book about moving. Great illustrations! Picked it up at the “Alexander” musical, but will definitely read it as a family next time we relocate. #kidsbooks #goodread #kidsemotions #funny

Haven't been on here in a bit- I've been a little busy packing for a move with little to no reading time. I am looking forward to getting settled in our new place - and to have time to read!
