Margaret can communicate with animals & as a "freak" she's been on the run her whole life. When a drug kingpin kidnaps her for her incredible gift, he learns she is no easy target. This is an action packed, entertaining read.

Johansen writes convincing monsters. She also writes convincing alpha jerks. However, this time she wrote a convincing, ass-kicking, freaky heroine to top them all.

When your husband is watching your little ones and you go to the library. Thinking I will start with this first. Anyone read any of these? Recommendations?

It took awhile for me to get into this one. Margaret Douglas has been making cameos in the Eve Duncan series and she finally gets her own book. Fun read😃

My plan was to work on my TBR and not request any more books from NetGalley. Then they sent me an email of mysteries and thrillers available for request and my plan is abandoned 😊
