It was not one of my favorites in the series, but it was interesting that the parents were on opposite sides of the civil war. Plus the lighthouse aspect was an interesting side note.

One of my sisters-in-law is a #lighthouse fan and lives across the street from the Fenwick Island light. It‘s now firmly situated in the land of t-shirt ships and mini golf, but it‘s still an iconic landmark. IIRC this book was a #Litsy find. I need to move it up my TBR! #letstravelaugust

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I love lighthouses!! ❤️❤️ 5y

Great story to teach about the civil war from a younger persons perspective. The book is set up/written as if it‘s an actual diary
