The Blood Countess

Really creepy example of an #evilwoman , made creepier by the fact that this fictional tale is based on real life Hungarian Countess and serial killer Elizabeth Bathory who was said to bathe in the blood of her young victims (hence the title and nickname). It alternates between 17th century Hungary and a present day storyline with a descendant of Countess Bathory who may be influenced by his relative from beyond the grave 😱 #rockinmay @Cinfhen

TobeyTheScavengerMonk A character inspired by her is the villain in the Hellboy Animated: Blood & Iron movie and he has to battle a sentient torture device that Bathory used in the Wake the Devil comic. 7y

I'm struggling to get into The Blood Countess, but that may be because I haven't had a stretch of time to dedicate to it. #justkeepswimming 🐠

Bookzombie @LibrarianRyan I cheat! 😬 I sometimes type up what I want to say in Notes on my phone, which allows me to have paragraphs. Then I just copy and paste into Litsy. 8y

LibrarianRyan @Bookzombie okay I do that too with my google drive. When I dump a lot of books at once that is why. I type faster on a full keyboard. 8y
