#ReadHarder2020: a middle grade book that doesn't take place in the US or the UK.

This book is set in Kenya in the late 80s or early 90s and depicts a strong young girl coming of age at the height of the AIDS crisis.

I'm not much of a middle grade reader, but I thought this book was well done and would be a good choice for a kid who can handle difficult topics. #ReadHarder
