Plague Ship
Plague Ship | Clive Cussler, Jack Du Brul
4 posts | 5 read | 1 to read
Chairman Juan Cabrillo and the rest of the Corporation's mercenaries fight to stop a corrupt activist group from unleashing a viral attack in this #1 New York Times-bestselling adventure from the Oregon Files. Captained by the rakish, one-legged Juan Cabrillo and manned by a crew of former military and spy personnel, the Oregon is a private enterprise, available for any government agency that can afford it. They've just completed a top secret mission against Iran in the Persian Gulf when they come across a cruise ship adrift at sea. Hundreds of bodies litter its deck, and, as Cabrillo tries to determine what happened, explosions rack the length of the ship. Barely able to escape with his own life and that of the liners sole survivor, Cabrillo finds himself plunged into a mystery as intricate and as perilous as any he has ever known and pitted against a cult with monstrously lethal plans for the human race . . . plans he may already be too late to stop

🎧 This was a high seas fun action thriller.

I‘ve read a few of his books & all have been water based. I‘m not knowledgeable so it was interesting on top of a fun ride.

This might be the 1st book I‘ve read in The Oregon Files. I enjoyed it. A fascinating group of well developed characters & cool ship!

There is a moment or 2 where you should just go with it LOL 😳

The Ark carried a plague. Crazy activists want to devastate the world.

1. Plague Ship by Clive Cussler (1/8 current library loans)

2. Hardcover for my shelf, floppy large print paperback to read. (I‘m an audiobook lover but since a majority of my audiobooks are courtesy of the library I buy the hardcovers of the books I LOVE for my future bookcase & I buy paperbacks for book clubs so I can annotate).

3. Infinite by Jeremy Robinson

Trashcanman Hi Namcy!?? 3y
Twainy @Trashcanman Good evening George. I envy your Later ... I think I have a 12 week Libby wait 😢😆 how is your weekend? 3y
Trashcanman @Twainy it's ok, lots of suicidal ideation this weekend. But its so hard to penetrate pig thick skin. I went out which is uncommon for me. Actually went to a bookstore. Do you have a kindle? 3y

Twainy George! I should go get money and order a pizza. Nope put it on a card 😆 So you‘re infinitely more social than I am today! I love B&N! Hate hearing about the SI. That sucks! In the meantime sir ... you‘ve got new books to read!! I can‘t wait for your Later review!! @Trashcanman 3y
Trashcanman @Twainy I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable; I'm just tired of fighting what seems like a lost cause. But I will be reading, hopefully the thoughts subside. You didn't answer! Do you have a kindle and what's your email address? 3y
Twainy Nothing is a lost cause. Always hope. George, you didn‘t make me feel uncomfortable. Pizza man distracted me. 😆 I don‘t have a kindle but I don‘t have much time to read so I don‘t feel too bad about that. 😁 I have 10 audiobooks on hold on Libby & just grabbed 7 sci-fi audiobooks that were available. 3y
Twainy Sorry. @trashcanman I forget the tag thing. The pizza wasn‘t even decent. LOL ugh I shoulda spent the extra $12. 3y
Trashcanman @Twainy I'm sorry the pizza sucked. Eat some Poke today. 3y
Twainy @Trashcanman I woke up to a coupon for a free pizza in an e-Mail apologizing for the poor pizza. I only told you so I imagine they knew that by the time it got to me it was cold. Sorry, IDK what Poke is. I‘m reading/listening to books & it‘s Sunday so housework 😫 and eating microwaved bad pizza with a large cup of caffeine. Hope you are having a better day today! 🙂 3y

This was an enjoyable book in the Oregon Files Series, but there were one or two places in the book where you had to suspend belief! They have certainly pulled together an interesting group of characters, and I think this is one of the biggest plot structures that has been pulled together in this series. It was good to get to know some of the lesser known characters in this book. I look forward to continuing this series. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
