All Kinds of Tied Down
All Kinds of Tied Down | Mary Calmes
4 posts | 5 read | 2 to read
Ian has always resisted being tied down. His partner, Miro, just has to convince him that getting tangled up in heartstrings isn't so bad.

It doesn't follow a typical plot structure and meanders a lot in the beginning, but somehow it works. Even the first person POV, which I rarely like. A lot of people get shot. There are chases and jumping off balconies. And developing romance. Which, once it gets going, also works ♥️

Police procedural meets #romantsy is one of my fave things. I anticipated a bit more of a #slowburn & the dialogue transitions were occasionally hard to follow but I really liked it. Miro & Ian are great characters. 🔫🔫🔫🔫

A lot of people in various bookish groups I follow like Calmes. I read some of her work earlier this year but I had a hard time getting into it but this was better. Maybe a little too much talking and there were a lot of characters that weren‘t well introduced so I just gave up and ignored them.
