It‘s always a trip to see the original lyrics to this since it‘s one of the ones my parents heavily folk processed when they sang it to us
This morning I posted a photo of my grandson and a quote about the debt to a forming soul. He was looking at this book in the photo and, while this is a newer version, I've had a copy in my home since 1989. Many of the labor protest and women's rights songs that I sang as lullabies to my 4 children are now being passed down to my grandchildren by me and their parents. That's just one of my contributions to the forming souls in my world.
