We Owe You Nothing: Expanded Edition
We Owe You Nothing: Expanded Edition: Punk Planet: The Collected Interviews | Daniel Sinker
2 posts | 3 read | 11 to read
Revised and expanded edition of the punk classic with six new interviews and a new introduction, bringing the definitive book of conversations with the underground's greatest minds up to 2007. New interviews include talks with bands like The Gossip and Maritime, a conversation with punk legend Bob Mould and many more. Punk Planet has consistently explored the crossover of punk with activism, reflecting the currents of the underground while simultaneously challenging the bleak centrism of today's popular culture.

Pickpick

This book collects a bunch of interviews published in the old zine Punk Planet. My favorite of the bunch is, of course, the Kathleen Hanna one (Bikini Kill‘s lead singer), in which she talks about riot grrrl and rock and feminism. The whole book is full with interesting insights to art, music, society, and punk. I truly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone interested in punk.

#maybookflowers 11. Not sure if these qualify for #musicaltitles but at least there's a music genre in the subtitles!
