I was quite impressed by the counterpart to this one, Red's Untold Tale, so I'm hoping to be equally so with this one. I LOVE fairytale retellings!!
so-soI was disappointed in this book, especially since I loved Toliver's take on Red's past. Regina did not feel real to me, and rather than seeing her actual love (Daniel), there is a random, rushed love interest. Cora was believable, and while Regina's actions at the very end felt somewhat like her, the book overall was boring. It took me over a month to read because it felt like all source material had been ignored. Okay, but not highly recommended.
So far, this is...pretty awful, honestly. It feels like no one involved with it ever even watched the show, or knows anything about the characters. #reginarising #onceuponatime #wendytoliver
The show basically lost me awhile ago - if it hadn't been for the chemistry between Jen and Colin, I wouldn't have watched beyond S4 - but I still love the original batch of characters; Regina's one that I wished the show would have treated better than it did, but Lana has always been STELLAR. #onceuponatime #reginarising #wendytoliver #easyread
Loving this so far. Interesting to see the life of a young Regina and how it ties into the tv series.
