Supernatural: Bone Key
Supernatural: Bone Key | Keith R.A. DeCandido
7 posts | 9 read | 10 to read
Twenty-two years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. In the years after, their father, John, taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America . . . and he taught them how to kill it. Sam and Dean are headed for Key West, Florida, home to Hemingway, hurricanes, and a whole lot of demons. The tropical town has so many ghouls on the loose that one of its main moneymakers has long been a series of ghost tours. But the tours are no more, not since one of the guides was found dead of an apparent heart attack . . . his face frozen in mid-scream. No one knows what horrors he saw, but the Winchester brothers are about to find out. Soon they'll be face-to-face with the ghosts of the island's most infamous residents, demons with a hidden agenda, and a mysterious ancient power looking for revenge. It's up to Sam and Dean to save the citizens of Key West . . . before the beautiful island is reduced to nothing more than a pile of bones.

Why, Bone Key? WHY?!? 😠

Texreader That‘s a bummer! Hate it when that happens! 3y
Clwojick 😂 I see that it‘s also 2mm shorter than the others. Why must they do that? 3y
Harley_Quinn Would you recommend reading or watching the show first? 3y

Traci1 @Texreader @Clwojick Right? It's so pretty, and then...bone key. Ugh. 3y
Traci1 @Harley_Quinn I'd watch the show first, for sure. You'll get a feel for the characters and their voices, and there are some spoilers within the books if you read them first. The books can stand alone, but they mention events going on within the show. 3y
CaffeineAndCandy 😂😢 3y
Harley_Quinn @Traci1 Good to know 😊 3y

Pickpick

🌟🌟🌟🌟
This was one of the better Supernaturals that I've read. Demons and ghosts, and even some Bobby thrown in, it was a lot of fun.

QueenJen Bobby's my favourite! 5y
Traci1 @QueenJen I love him. 😊 when I read these books, his voice is one I hear in my head probably better than any of the others. 5y

My daughter has been doing the picking from my #PopJarGame mug. The mug has spoken, and this Supernatural tie-in is up next. Still working on Becoming as well (and Latte Trouble on audio when I'm in the car).

@TheReadingMermaid

BeansPage I am wondering about those Supernatural tie-in books. Are they any good? 5y
Traci1 @TheReadingMermaid they all have different authors, and some are very good, some less so. My favorites are Fresh Meat and Joyride (of the ones I've read). The only one I haven't liked was Coyote's Kiss. 5y
Andrew65 Hope she‘s chosen well! 5y

BeansPage Okay I will have to take a peek at them. Thanks for the heads up! 🤗 5y
Suet624 It‘s Rory‘s boyfriend on the Gilmore Girls! 5y
Traci1 @Suet624 lol yeah I forgot he was Dean on G.G. The other guy is Dean in Supernatural. 😁 5y
RamsFan1963 @Traci1 Bone Key is a fun book, I finished it in a day, couldn't put it down. The author got Sam & Dean down perfect, which often doesn't happen in tie-in books. 5y

Got tickets to the Big 10 wrestling championship for my husband! Finals today but brought my book since 6 hours or so of wrestling might be a bit much for me 😆 #GoHawks

the.bookish.valkyrie I love the show but haven‘t come across the books yet, how are they? 6y
PathfinderNicole @ValkyrieAndHerBooks I really enjoy them! I mean they aren‘t fantastic works of literature but they‘re pretty decent. It lets the case and the monster have more of a spotlight while still showing the brother‘s relationship that an hour long episode can‘t do due to time constraints. 6y
the.bookish.valkyrie Sounds like a good read to me! Thanks! I‘ll have to check them out! 6y

Between binge-watching the new Lore show on Amazon Prime and listening to the Lore podcasts again, I have a Robert the Doll theme going. Might as well revisit Sam and Dean's run-in with him too. (If you haven't heard of Robert the Doll, Lore podcast episode 15 "Unboxed" will give you the whole story).

robinb Awww, the Winchester boys look so young here! ❤️❤️ 7y
Jadams89 @robinb I know! Pre-Apocalypse Sam and Dean -- when things were simple. 7y
robinb @Jadams1776 This series has continually amazed me with its longevity...I‘ve loved it as much as my teenaged daughter did growing up (she‘s now 21). 7y

A few chapters in and really enjoying it. The dialogue has been great. Especially the scene with Bobby and the boys celebrating New Years. FYI this books takes place during the third season shortly after A Very Supernatural Christmas

DGRachel I didn't know they had Supernatural books! 😱 7y
HollyMcMiller They do. There's 17 of them. 3 are not stories, 2 of the 3 are journals ( John and Bobby's) and the other is a book of monsters that were in the early years of the show 7y
annkuch13 I just saw that there are books that take place in season 10 that I need to read! The books are just so fun! 7y
HollyMcMiller Yup. They sure are fun! 7y
Debiw781 Love this show ❤❤ 7y
