The story was kind of random and weird but the visuals were beautiful.

The illustrations were so unique and had so much depth in them for only being black and white. The text and pictures flow seamlessly. The text is large and on its own page without illustrations so it‘s easy to read.

Today's photo challenge for #IamsweetMarch found on Instagram by @JuliaTheBookNerd is #aboysnameinthetitle which is a great excuse to look at these fab drawings again.

My first thought for this prompt was of course The Secret Garden. But I don't actually own a copy of that, so I went exploring in the library at work today to find a garden title. The Garden of Abdul Gasazi was Chris Van Allsburg's (Polar Express, Jumanji) first book. He has such a captivating art style, and so many great books.
