I've got two recommendations for books about disabilities. NO PITY looks at the history of the disability movement. My only criticism is that it's written by an able-bodied author(a strong ally), and it shows throughout the book, but it's a good place to start if you don't know much.
WHERE WOMEN ARE KINGS deals with behavioral issues of an at-risk kid, also not perfect, but very poignant. #disabilities #photoadaynov16
