I didn‘t even approach my meager goal of 50 books for the year. I have barely finished any book since Amy passed away, since my evenings aren‘t the same and aren‘t as relaxing. I‘m ok though because a lot of my books were harder, more in-depth reads that asked a lot more from me mentally. On to 2018! 🎊 #myyearinbooks

trueisa4letterword I was hoping to see your stats! 6y
trueisa4letterword @mrsmarch No, YOUR stats. The pic was fine 6y
mrsmarch @trueisa4letterword The link should go to my full stats, does it not? My least popular (meaning read by the least number of people) book was about the Pope. 6y

I read this yesterday. It is really truly the bomb. One wishes one could have heard Washington speak it and how it was received when we as a country were just babies.

Joshilyn I am excited about Harriet Tubman, but I have to admit a teeny part of me wishes we would put LMM on the 20. :) 7y
PlannerGirlBookClub I have a large school-girl-like crush on LMM, I'd love to have him on the 20! @Joshilyn 7y

When reading a 1952 book about George Washington (The Real Book about George Washington) and you find the a reference to #Hamilton .

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual;
