my favorite part was about Paul and how his ears were ruined from ringing the bell. so then he was screaming about underwear and everyones faces in the illustrations were hilarious

I would read this book to second graders and up when giving a little history lesson on people who had a huge impact on shaping America. It is a silly, yet informative book on US history that has beautiful illustrations. Definitely love this book and would use it inside of my classroom!
pickThis is a historical fiction book about John Hancock, Paul Revere, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin & George Washington. It is about them as young kids. This book describes why each of those men are important, but in a way that young children can understand. It is a simple read. The book tells a good story and accurately depicts what happened in real life with a few fictional facts added. It is a great read for young kids about history.
so-soThis Historical Fiction book is okay. I like how it has a fact check in the back of the book that tells you if what was said in the book was true or not. I did not however think it uses the values of the four men properly.
I would not use this book in my classroom because it is not serious enough to me. I think that the facts are right, but there is too much play being done in the book to really gain any information.
