Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun, Vol. 2 | Izumi Tsubaki

"It's Nozaki-kun's job to create characters, but he doesn't have to look very far for inspiration!"Umetarou Nozaki, a high school student leading a double life as a popular shoujo manga-ka, is an extraordinary guy. This is hardly news to Chiyo, of course! But not to be outdone by Nozaki, the people around him are pretty unique too...There's a maiden-hearted playboy, a flighty former editor, a serious editor, an insomniac, an angel-voiced troublemaker, a hard-working drama club president, and the school prince who's actually a princess. With this colorful cast of characters vying for Nozaki's attention, Chiyo's got some tough competition ahead!

This is a series I think I need to read one after the other, because I'd forgotten a few characters since my read of Vol. 1. But Vol. 2 was a nice quick read, and I liked learning about techniques that manga artists use in their work (notably, screentone paper). #BookSpin March 2023

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This Manga series follows a cast of characters, one of whom is secretly a popular manga artist. It‘s been a while since I read the first volume and I spent the first chapter or so wondering why I had liked it so much, but it wasn‘t long before I was laughing out loud! This manga is perfect for manga readers/artists. The characters are lovable and hilarious! I will definitely continue with the series!

Serotonin Such a hilarious series 😄 6y
