It's a Tiger!
It's a Tiger! | David LaRochelle
4 posts | 7 read | 1 to read
Kids and parents alike will rejoice in this lively read-aloud picture book, as the main character runs into (and away from) a tiger over and over again as the plot gets sillier and sillier. Perfect for acting out while reading, It's a Tiger! offers just the right amount of excitement without being too scary, and a sweet ending with a bit of a twist.

I‘m on a kick of pulling books based on colors for storytime. This week: orange! We ran from a tiger and added stripes to our own, and read other books about construction, foxes, and oranges. 🍊 🦊 🐅🎃🔥🏀📙🧡🔶

This is one of my favorite books to read aloud, particularly for ages 3-6. #litsyloveslibraries #raisingreaders #kidlit #librarianlife

David LaRochelle getting kids excited about putting details into illustrations at Le Sueur Public Library. BTW, he kills at with his live readings!

Pickpick

This is one of my most frequently demanded preschool read-alouds. Kids love it for the humor and interaction it encourages. Jeremy Tankard's tiger is pretty cute. 💤🐯💤 #picturebookmonth

Kittycoroner Love reading this in storytime. I get the kids to jump up and run when the book says to. 7y
LindsayReads @Kittycoroner Me, too! And tiptoe and bump down the hill... They go nuts! 7y

Mehso-so

Everything looks like a tiger when imagination is on the run. Better beware.

LindsayReads Oh man, this is a book I pull out when I need a storytime showstopper. Kids go crazy. 8y
LibrarianRyan @lindsayreads I can see that. 🤓 8y
