Curtain Call
Curtain Call | Anthony Quinn
3 posts | 2 read | 11 to read
On a sultry afternoon in the summer of 1936 a young woman is witness to an attempted murder in a London hotel room. Nina, a West End actress, faces a dilemma: she shouldn't have been at the hotel in the first place, and certainly not with a married man. But once it becomes apparent that she has seen the face of the man the newspapers have dubbed the Tie-Pin Killer she realises that unless she acts quickly, more women will die... From the glittering murk of Sohos underworld, to the grease paint and ghost-lights of theatreland, Curtain Call is a poignant and gripping story about love and death in a society dancing towards the abyss.

Pickpick

Friday phew, and this was a book I read for rdg grp, definitely a page turner set around the world of theatre in 1930's London with a serial killer on the loose. Touches a bit on british facism, criminality of homosexuality + anti semitism but this isnt a deep read. Enjoyable characters but don't look too closely at the plot just enjoy an easy read.

Cathythoughts This sounds great 👍🏻 3y
andrew61 @Cathythoughts yes I think you will enjoy it. 3y
