I did not enjoy this book as much as the first in the series, but it was still pretty good. I did think it was more action-packed than the first one was, but I just got a bit bored by all the sex. Of course, what can you expect from this type of romance novel?

Eloisa James adored this novel, and so did I. On to book #3 in the series. #romantsy

Such a great series! I haven't read much reconciliation romance, but I thought this was really well done. And I always appreciate characters who are learning be honest and vulnerable about who they are in a relationship. Kilts never hurt either 😉❤️ #romantsy

I'm still trying to figure out what kind of romance I like, and Jennifer Ashley's MacKenzie series is definitely my flavor. I like this book even more than the first one. Isabella and Mac are fabulous characters, and I've learned that I really love a marriage-in-trouble-reconciliation trope.
