Another great book in this excellent series! Love how good and evil is presented in the book. I see character growth and epic moments. Wasn‘t as heartfelt as the first one, but took the storylines in the book forward. Ended, of course, with a bang! #SeriesLove2023

This is a highly addictive series and I have already started book three. Book 2 takes up right were book 1 left off. A few story lines are resolved but the reader is once again left with a HUGE cliffhanger. Hence the reason I have started the next book already. 4.5 ⭐️

I read book 1 of this series years ago, and always planned to read the rest of the series. I ended up listening to it on audio and it was really good. It took me a little while to remember the various characters and plots, but it came back to me pretty quick. It didn't seem to have a twist like Archer's books usually have, though.

On my way to the library to pick up the third in this series so I don't run out over the weekend. So easy to become immersed on the lives of these characters. Like reading Dickens or Hardy.

Book 2 from the Clifton Chronicles by Jeffrey Archer. Seven books in this greatly addictive series that just keeps you wanting to read on and on. So sad to see the end of the series. Book 1 is Only Time Will Tell.

Andrew65 @CoverToCoverGirl She was horrible! Think I must have read Kane and Abel, and the follow-up The Prodigal Daughter about 30+ years ago. I do remember them being great reads. 6y
Bookquilter I loved the entire a series... but I wanted to throw each book at least once... Archer is the master of twist and cliffhanger. 6y
Andrew65 @Bookquilter I know exactly what you mean, he knows how to annoy you as an author with those twists! 6y

Melissa_J Yes, I read the first one last year (or maybe the year before that?). I have them all, I just need to read them. 6y
Andrew65 @JamieArc Read it over 30 years ago but Kane and Abel is excellent, as is this series. 6y
Andrew65 @Melissa_J Yep, sounds like time to get to this one. 😊 6y
Melissa_J I‘m getting through the books I brought on holiday faster than I thought I would. This one is on my Kobo so I may be starting it really soon! 6y
Andrew65 @Melissa_J 😊 Also doing well with my reading at the moment! (edited) 6y

Enjoyed this. Second in the Clifton Chronicles series. The Hubster has read them all and warned me that every book ends with a cliffhanger. At least I won't have to wait for the next to be published.
