The Miller's Dance
The Miller's Dance: A Novel of Cornwall 1812-1813 | Winston Graham
5 posts | 10 read | 10 to read
The Miller's Dance is the ninth novel in Winston Graham's sweeping series of Cornwall, Poldark. Cornwall 1812. At Nampara, the Poldark family finds the new year brings involvement in more than one unexpected venture. For Ross and Demelza there is some surprising - and worrying - news. And Clowance, newly returned from her London triumphs, finds that her entanglement with Stephen Carrington brings not only happiness but heartache. As the armies battle in Spain, and the political situation at home becomes daily more obscure, the Poldark and Warleggan families find themselves thrust into a turbulent new era as complex and changing as the patterns of The Miller's Dance... 'From the incomparable Winston Graham...who has everything that anyone else has, then a whole lot more' Guardian

Seems like ages ago that I finished the previous installment in the Poldark series. The next one finally came in from the library!

Another great installment in the Poldark series. Hard to say much without requiring spoilers. Looking forward to book 10!

Poldark Book 9.

If I‘ve read 9 books from this series so far I obviously like it, right?

Historical fiction at its finest.

Andrew65 I need to read this series. 6y
CareBear Can you tag the first book in the series? 6y

Kelican17 I have watched the first season of Poldark and read the first book in the series. I got “distracted” (😋) by grad school, but have always wanted to read/watch more of the story!!! I don‘t know what else happens but after season one i friggin LOVE Demelza!! 6y
[DELETED] 3803335244 You won‘t be disappointed! I read them quite awhile ago but I was happy I did. 6y
Libby1 @Kelican17 - Demelza is one of the most real, full characters I‘ve ever read. I hope you are able to get to the other books in the series some day. 6y
Libby1 @ForeverNerdy - I have so much to look forward to. 💕 6y

The ninth book in the Poldark series, still cannot figure that Stephen Carrington out, he's doing my head in. Still missing Sam, Drake & Morwenna, but getting attached to the Poldark children now. It ended on an interesting note so keen to see what happens next!

"....pursues you relentlessly..." ?? YES!! Winston Graham has just the perfect way of describing these quirks of character and I LOVE it. Only 3 and a half books left of my Poldark binge, and while it's had its ups and downs, good lord I'm going to miss these characters and this writing.

MariettaSG 😂😂 beautifully expressed, I bet we all know someone like this. 7y
