It seems like an innocent chance encounter, but in the years to come Max will wonder if he hadnt been doomed from the start. He falls quickly for the beautiful, opinionated woman, and is about to propose marriage when he learns that Lily is harboring a dark secretone that will change Maxs life forever. Pickpick

On my journey to read every JC book… I don‘t think it is possible for me to give anything but a “pick”. Although this one is not close to my favorites, it is still a chillingly amazing story. I was immersed in it - cheering for the antiheroes, hoping they‘d win out in the end, despite their horrible acts.

#signedsundays this is definitely my favourite signed book. My husband isn't a reader and on our first holiday together 13 years ago,to New Orleans, he went a walk one day and brought back coffee and this book. We weren't even living together but he recognised his name from my bookshelves. A lovely signed first edition. Later that day he took me to the book shop on Dauphine St. A tiny little place filled with treasures.📚❤️

DeborahSmall We went back to New Orleans this year, I was so worried the bookshop would have been gone after Katrina, but it's still there ❤️ 7y
