The official novelization of the famous "Alien" movie with Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley! A crew of spaceship Nostromo is suddenly woken up from a cryogenic sleep because of mysterious signals coming from an unknown planet and received by a ship computer. The astronauts land on the planet surface and go to investigate an alien spaceship where one of them is attacked by an alien which fasten itself on his face. When the crew returns to their ship and abandon the planet, nobody forefeels that the real horror will begin very soon ...

I enjoyed this! I really like the movies so it made sense to delve a little deeper reading the books!

I love how much more detail you get in the novels, more insight into the characters, their actions, you can really feel the fear in this book too!

braddsibbersen Read this in grade school because I wasn't allowed to see the movie! Foster is terrific. He's the actual author of the original Star Wars novelization, and his novelization of Disney's The Black Hole almost makes the ending coherent. 2y

I've always loved the alien movies...I wonder why it's taken me so long to read any of the books.
I'm going to read them all, but I'll skip Covenant Origins.
I enjoyed this book. 👍🏼

It's tatty book time again!

I saw this in a charity shop and had to have it. Aliens was an amazing movie, and Ripley is one of the silver screen's biggest badasses. When I was younger, all the action heroes were men until Ripley came along. Sigourney Weaver is EPIC in this role, so I had to get this book.

I want to say the book was amazing, because I love Alien, but I can't. It didn't add much or make me think any differently about the story/characters. I don't read many novelizations and this reminded me why.
