Japanese mystery author Akimitsu Takagi (1920 -1995).
I devoured The Noh Mask Murder by him in March this year.

I got hooked on Carian Cole when I read the Ashes and Embers series. Tagged the first book. I have gone on to read her other books. I especially liked Don't Kiss the Bride.
