Nine books for May! It was very hard to pick a favorite book for May but if forced to, I‘d pick the tagged book. Followed by a tie between Queen of the South and Sea of Tranquility. Four books this month for #Spain #foodandlit. Two books for #authoramonth. Two for #readingOceania #Palau and #NewZealand and of course all of them for #litsyatoz but mostly for #letterQ and #letterY

A mix of family drama and thriller, when a middle age woman‘s adopted father passes away it begins a series of events that unlocks her very dark childhood. I enjoyed this, though I would have preferred to stay in Sally‘s POV throughout. There is a second POV which answers many questions and it was well written, I just wanted more of Sally‘s journey. 4⭐️

Banksy is always needing and looking for attention. My favorite time of the has become our bedtime when he wants to snuggle while I'm reading.

A book for when you need something light. Something with normal people with nothing really happening but still engaging enough for you to keep on reading. Now that I‘m finished, I kind of miss going back to this family tonight.

Local café is shut for Bank Holiday so I'm recreating the experience in the back garden.

I've heard Strange Sally Diamond described as "like a dark Eleanor Oliphant". Fits #pop24 prompt for 42 year old character.

Continuing The Fire Next Time.

yourfavouritemixtape I love your bag!! Where is it from? 6d
RaeLovesToRead @yourfavouritemixtape It's from Vendula, but it's a weird one because it's a Japanese exclusive apparently. I got it off ebay. I have a huge collection of Vendula bags... they all have different shop fronts on them 😊 6d

I was pre- conditioned to like this because The Luminaries is my favourite book. This is no Luminaries but it‘s good in it‘s own way. I really enjoy Catton‘s writing. ✍🏽

BarbaraBB I felt the same about both books 6d
Cathythoughts I loved Birnam Wood. But bailed on Luminaries. 6d
Tamra I really need to try this one given the Litsy love. I did not particularly like Luminaries though. 🤷🏾‍♀️ 6d

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Soscha I love the old covers. I have bunches of old gothic romances & Detective Book Club 3s-in-hardcovers. 6d
Octoberwoman @Soscha Me too! Love the covers I mean, though I also have some old gothics as well. 6d

Welp, that‘s it for May, because no other book I‘ve read so far this month can even remotely come close to this absolute GEM. If anyone needs me, I‘ll be here nursing a major book hangover for the rest of the month….. 😍😍😍😍
